Support Groups

Support groups meet at various venues throughout the city based on the availability of quality group leaders, as well places to meet. The available groups will be announced at each seminar.

The groups are coed and led by both a female and a male, they address all the topics discussed at the seminars and more, but because there are less constraints on time, we can have more in-depth conversations. The groups offer a safe environment in which to explore your emotions and discuss practical ways of navigating divorce. No one gets or gives unsolicited advice or is shamed, and you only share your thoughts if you desire.

If you have never been in a small group, you will find that groups can be very rewarding. Many people who have participated in these groups have made life-long friends, and in some cases found a “family” that they never had. Of course, everyone’s experience is different based on who they are and the people that happen to be in any given group. But at the very least you will learn some life skills that will help you better navigate divorce.

These groups offer an open and honest discussion on the issues surrounding divorce, including: loneliness, anger, forgiveness, moving on, what it takes to have healthy relationships, etc.  We will use resources from Divorce Care, including books and videos, to facilitate our discussions. These groups are intended for anyone who is separated, going through a divorce, recently divorced or those who have been divorced several years.

Fall 2020 support groups hosted by our Partner Church’s will be updated by the next seminar date.
